Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 June 2026

NanaTato ("NanaTato", "we", "us") is a parent-led bedtime routine and calming story app for families. We built it to ask for nothing. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means for your data and your child's privacy.

1. Data we collect

None. NanaTato does not collect, store off your device, sell, or share any personal or sensitive information. We do not ask for and never receive your or your child's name, age, birthday, email, phone number, location, photos, voice, or contacts.

2. Information stored on your device

The app saves a small amount of non-personal preference data locally on your device only, so it can remember your settings between sessions. This includes things like:

This information never leaves your device, is not transmitted to us or anyone else, and is removed when you uninstall the app.

3. No ads, tracking, or analytics

NanaTato contains no advertising, no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and no tracking technologies. We do not build profiles, use cookies or advertising identifiers, or measure your activity.

4. Permissions and offline operation

All stories, sounds, and lullabies are bundled in the app, so its content plays fully offline. The app declares no permissions of its own; the Google Play Billing service adds internet and network-state access, used only to process purchases and subscriptions through Google Play. We do not use your camera, microphone, or location, and we collect no personal data of our own.

5. Purchases

If you choose to start a free trial or subscribe, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play. Payment is processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy; NanaTato never sees, receives, or stores your payment details. Purchases sit behind a grown-up check. Where a purchase requires a network connection, that connection is used only for the transaction with Google Play — NanaTato still collects no personal data of its own.

6. Children's privacy

NanaTato is designed for families and intended to be used by a child together with a grown-up. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children, there are no child accounts or sign-in, and there is no behavioral advertising. Our practices are intended to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU/UK GDPR (including provisions for children), and Google Play's Families policy.

7. Data sharing and security

Because no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is nothing for us to share, sell, or disclose. The preference data described above stays on your device under the protection of your device's own security.

8. Your choices

You are in control. You can clear all locally stored preferences at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it. To manage or cancel a subscription, use Google Play (play.google.com → Subscriptions).

9. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app works in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
